7 Reasons Gratitude Is Sweeter Than Christmas Morning

Christmas morning can be pretty sweet thanks to the cookies for breakfast, presents left by Santa under the tree, and bonding time with family and friends... but did you know that gratitude can be even sweeter?  Let me tell you why ...  1. Gratitude is something that you can experience every day of the year, but Christmas morning only comes around once a year. 2. You never want to return the feelings that come along with gratitude (such as warmth, happiness, peace, relieve, etc.), but you may want to return some of those presents you get under the tree!  3. While thoughts of presents at Christmas time can cause our materialistic side to come out, gratitude helps us to remember to be grateful for what we already have (and doesn't need to be wrapped with bows).  4. Christmas causes a lot of tension and stress with our loved ones as we struggle to make the day 'perfect", but gratitude improves our relationships with others because it reminds us of why we appreciate them...

If You Judge Me For My Past, You Don't Deserve To Be In My Future

Image
On more than one occasion I've been judged for my past -- WTF? I seriously don't get it. We've all said or done things in we're not proud of, but that's part of growing up and learning to become better people. The lessons I've learned from all my mistakes makes me who I am, and if you judge me for my past now, you don't have any place in my future.  1. YOU'RE JUDGING SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE.  A perfect way to explain why I won't allow you to continue to be a part of my life by judging me on my past comes from when I look at my Facebook memories. Even I'm like, "Who's that girl writing all these ridiculous statuses?" so for you to think that I'm even remotely the same as I was all those years ago is just plain wrong.  2. MY GROWTH GAME IS STRONG.  If you choose to judge me on something that I did ten years ago, you're judging a person I don't even know anymore. I've grown so much as a person it's ...

My First Therapy Session

Time flies...   It's the last day of October already..  Finally found some time to write as I was busy for the entire week with workloads and also therapy session.  Talking about therapy ... Never have I thought that I will need a therapist to help with my depression, anxiety and panic attack.  I found my therapist from Instagram , her name is Yelna. She used to live in the same country as me before she get married and moved to Romania. I remembered her being my fashion idol and watching her make - up videos got me like, "I want to look this pretty toooo!" 😋 Before approaching her in DM that I need a session with her, I was going through her blog and profile. To my surprise that, what she have went through is almost the same as what I have been through. This, inspires me even more. Despite her inner struggles, she thrive and grow to become the better version of herself. Few days before the session, I had no idea what to expect and what the experience would be l...

12 Things We Never Realized About Ourselves In 2019, That 2020 Taught Us

Image
There is a lot that 2020 has taught us about ourselves, our relationships, our passions and our values. As we made our 2019 New Year's resolutions we had nothing but hope for not just a fresh year, but a fresh decade to make our own. More memories, more adventures, more travel!  2020 however, had another plans. If we could take the pandemic away in an instant we would, but we can't and so instead we look for the silver lining. From tough time come tough lessons, personal growth and learning opportunities. Here, let me share with you what 2020 has taught me, perhaps you may relate to one of these.  1. Take that leap of faith  Don't waste your life waiting for the right time. The right time to change jobs, start a new hobby or plan a trip with your friends will never arrive with thoughts alone. Take the leap and do the right thing rather than waiting for life to pass you by. The year 2020 taught me that life is short. For me, that means dreaming about travel today, r...

My Comeback After Taking a Blogging Break

Hey guys! So being on a hiatus for more than a year, I'm back to blogging scene!  That's right!  I have relocated from Malacca to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to embark on a new journey, just so you know ALOT has happened and I'm pretty sure you know about COVID-19. The entire country is on lockdown after lockdown, people are dying from this deadly virus, some are facing serious financial problem that leads to bankruptcy, etc.  So, going back to my comeback ( wow! Because a lot has happened since my last post, it's needless to say that a lot of unexpected things also happened that definitely changed my life and made me who and where I am today.  Who Am I ?  I'm Isabelle. I started blogging since I was in high school. Back then I used Blogspot and Tabulas to publish my blogs. All of my entries were ve...
